Supporting individuals from South West England and Wales with disabilities to access sporting opportunities and challenges
About
The Sports Foundation for the Disabled was established in 1990 following a major fundraising effort by its founder Bill Levick. He raised an enormous amount of money by completing a wheelchair push around the coast of Great Britain.
The Sports Foundation for the Disabled aims to support disabled individuals and groups from South West England and Wales to access sporting opportunities and complete challenges by:
Providing funding for sporting and enabling equipment.
Providing funding for disability sports specific training courses.
Providing funding to cover specific costs to enable individuals and groups to achieve a sporting challenge.
